Happy Friday Everyone!!
So, It's naptime!! Yay! I've been trying to get everything loaded up and ready for our trip to Oak Harbor to visit the husband. I, of course checked the weather and we are suppose to be getting 80 degree weather ( kinda a big deal here in the pacific nw). Preparing for warm weather means were going to be out, and i'm going to need my handy dandy carrier and even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE my moby wrap it just won't cut it during the summer months, but we do have a back up. We went to walmart and bought just a cheap baby carrier (about $20), it works just fine but it's so ugly! I couldn't stand it anymore so during this naptime I made a quicky cover!

What I used
1/2 fabric
4 5inch pieces of ribbon
2 pieces of paper for a pattern

I only used half of this paper I just traced out an outline
Give yourself a little bit of space when tracing the outline ( I kind of didn't so mine was a little snug, which worked out but I would recommend you to add a little bit extra)
I folded each side about 1/4, sew the tops but leave the arms open
On the bottom of the right hand side I sewed ribbons because the baby carrier is nondetachable
The nondetachable side

My finished product! I'm sooo happy it was so easy I did it all in about 45 minutes annndddd my little princess is still sleeping!

If you want to know more just let me know I can give you more details.
I love crafting

Happy Friday All!!

Hello All! I know it's been awhile since I last logged in but this mommy has been quite busy preparing for a WHOLE bunch of stuff!
What have I been up to?
1.)  I'm an Independent Distributor for It Works! I'm totally excited cause it's getting rid of my c-section pooch and my tummy is finally going back to what it used to look like.
(if your interest my site is My It Works Page!)

2.) I am going to be doing a JBLM Expo on the 27th!!! So I need to get my butt in gear and get my display set up and my products ordered. I have been practicing and seeing what my display would look like at the expo!

3.) It's just me and the little one again since daddy was sent to Oak Harbor for some extra schooling and he'll be up there for 5 weeks! But we will be heading up there to visit him for a couple of days tomorrow! So, I am in the process of getting everything set up and prepared for our 3 hour trip. I realized babies have TONS of stuff to bring between her food, utensils, pack n play, stroller, and clothes..geezz.. Good thing we have a huge SUV!

4.) I am currently looking into couponing..I am trying to understand how it works and how I can get the best bang for my buck! So, I have started following a couple pages on facebook such as Freebies2DealsSmart Couponing and a couple others. They actually have quite a bit of info, so if your like me and wanting to begin/ try it out or if you are a couponer and know some better sites to go to, the more info the better!

5.) Spending time with my little girl
So, it may seem like a little bit but being alone with an 8 month old and trying to get things done is quite trying at times! But overall I am blessed and thankful for everything!

Smile and Rejoice

" I trust in your
unfailing LOVE
I will REJOICE
because you have
rescued me"

So, in our house we have officially joined a new church called Newlife and I am truely happy with it! I have never  felt to comfortable at a church and the fact that they are such an open Christian church has made me realize I have been living in the shadows. I used to believe that my heart was in the Catholic church and I love catholic ism  but I can honestly say I don't believe that any certain way of life is wrong, and I feel like Catholics turn the smallest things into sins and that's not what I feel Christ is about. Anyways, that is our new venture!

With all that's been going on I try to remember to just smile and rejoice because I have a truely awesome life.
I am BLESSED to have
My baby > whose the happiest baby
my husband > who may be a blonde but has a good heart
a good solid roof over my head
clothes on my back
and food in my belly
what's there not to be happy about?

I love having my daughter constantly with me, being a stay at home mom has been my life long dream and I am so thankful to have such a goofy little one. I hope she brings a smile to your face like she does to mine!

I Seriously LAUGH at this pic every time i see it

Stay happy, give thanks and enjoy every moment!

Be's Nails & Salon

Happy Wednesday ALL!
Today went pretty good I was able to take some much needed mommy time and go get my mani/pedi, my eyebrows waxed and my hair cut! I wouldn't have gotten my mani and pedi but Be <- name of the cute little asian lady who was cutting my hair and owner of the salon mentioned how I let my eyebrows go and I could get a free eyebrow wax with a mani and pedi! SO of course I caved, she was right I definitely had let these bad boys grow out to long and I didn't have time to pluck them back into shape cause I have a hugggeee fear of the tweeser happy syndrome. I have always loved having dark long eyebrows, just maintained not the bushy catepillars they've become . Anyways this momma is ready for her hubby to come home tomorrow!

Shout out to Little Miss Momma and her headband challenge!
What I wore BEFORE my hair was cut! I made this headband myself with some elastic, extra fabric and my handy dandy sewing machine!

When I got home my day went something like this...

pedi's and my little princess

I am mommy hear my giggle
My teething little princess has as most kids at her age have a tendency to put things into her mouth and might I say my reaction to pulling things out of her hands have become like a ninja. I swear she grows everyday and it truly amazes me, I sit and wonder do I provide everything she needs to develop and blossom. I only want the best and to be the best for my little one. You only really get to be mommy once no do over's, so i pray I'm doing it right.

Speaking Love Language

Since the hubby has been in Rhode Island for the past 3 weeks I've come to realize it's time for a little refresher for us. I'm not saying give him a hall pass ( even though it was a funny movie) I just think after 4 years together, marriage, baby and military life things between us have been put on the back burner.

So, I want to get back to us. I think since he's been deployed every 3 months he thinks that gifts and material items are what keep me happy. Don't get me wrong I love gifts, just as much as the next girl but I love attention and respect more than material things. Sorry Madona I am not a material girl..all the time..haha..But I think I'm going to invest in a book my sister told me about called The 5 Languages of Love by Gary Chapman.

She told me how it changed her relationship with her man and how they can better communicate with each other. The book talks about how there's 5 different types of love, and I went to the website and did the test and it was a real eye opener. Something's I don't think my husband knows about me because he percieves me to be a different type of love language. Which is why I am investing in this book.  I think in a normal life communication between a husband and wife gets lost sometimes, but even more so for a military couple cause their gone more and sometimes we can't communicate at all because he's not allowed to. My husband cousin Angie told me at my baby shower ALWAYS:
1.) Put God first
2.) Put your Marriage at the top
3.) Love your kids

When I think of our communication I think of that day and how she's right. I love our daughter but before her it was just US and to keep US we need to put US at the top. So what do we plan to do? Read this book together to see how we can better communicate with each other.

Then, go on a vacation..JUST US.. Kind of like a couples retreat minus all crazy drama and not as witty as the movie, but definitely to have a good time and  bang bang pow pow! hehe

Birthday Ideas

Sorry Folks! I apologize I haven't posted in a VERY long time!! But to my defense my husband came back from deployment so that takes up all my time! I got to get that Q.T family time in while I could cause as a military family he isn't home for long. He's gone again this time not on deployment but to Rhode Island for some extra schooling, so it's just me and the little! So, bedtime blogging here I come!

I don't think it's a little to early to start planning your daughter's first birthday do you? So far I think I'm going with this baby skull head with a pink bow theme, cause I think my daughter's pretty bada$$!  <-pardon my language! The first thing I've done is plan her birthday outfit (don't worry she's going to be buttnaked for the cake part!) but I'm starting from head to toe. Now, if your against bows, flowers, headbands and all that jazz turn away right now.. But if you love little girl accesories then you would love this!

(to my defense if you think it's wrong to put bows on little girls.. I put a bows on her 1 cause I think their CUTE and 2 I think she's the greatest gift from God, that I asked for, not just asked for, PRAYED for over 3 months. and what do you put on gifts? BOWS!)

This is the bow I purchased for $5 (on a special deal) pretty good deal if you have ever checked out bowtiques on facebook. (severely over priced ) If you wanna buy one check out one of my favorites Tiny Hearts Bowtique.

Cute Right?!

Now the idea's I've been playing around with for food and I came across Cute and Sassy Designs by Bonnie and she makes cute little cupcake toppers and stuff like that. Well she posted this AWESOME product from Infinity Creations
CAKE PUSH UPS!

How cool?!

Well I just felt like sharing some of my ideas with you guys! Stay tuned cause I have a little bit more but it'll be a few more months till my daughter's 1st birthday she's only 7 1/2 months right now :)

Goodnight Moon.
